Brow tinting pairs naturally with brow lamination, waxing, and shaping to create a complete brow transformation in a single appointment. Clients get more value from each visit, and you're building the kind of results they'll happily rebook for. Just make sure to sequence services correctly: Lamination always comes first before tinting.

Clean brows are the foundation of a great tint. Remove all makeup, oils, and skincare residue from the brow area before application. Any product buildup can create a barrier that affects how evenly the tint adheres. Use a gentle cleanser, like our Brow Bath Mousse Cleanser, and make sure the brows are fully dry before you begin.

Combine equal parts Hybrid Tint and Cream Developer in a 1:1 ratio in your mixing bowl and stir until you have a smooth, consistent formula. Apply to the brows using your brush of choice, working in clean, even strokes and staying within your desired shape. 

Processing time is 10–15 minutes for a standalone tinting service, or 5–6 minutes when applied during a Brow Lamination. Freshly laminated hair absorbs pigment faster, so the shorter window keeps results soft and balanced. When time is up, remove with a dry cotton swab/cotton pad or wipe for a clean, defined finish.

Too dark: If the end result is deeper than intended, gently remove excess pigment with a damp cotton swab or wipe immediately after processing. The sooner you act, the more you can soften the finish. For future appointments, try shortening the processing time or consider mixing in a lighter shade to reduce intensity. 

Too light: Under-processed results usually come down to either timing or application pressure. Make sure the formula is fully saturating the hair (not just sitting on top), and consider extending the processing time slightly within the recommended window. 

Our advice? Keep a shade mixing log for each client. Because let’s face it, six weeks in between appointments can feel more like six months. But having their perfect formula on file means a seamless service every time. Clients notice—and appreciate—when you remember the details.

After a tinting service, send your clients home with a simple set of rules:

• Keep brows dry for the first 24 hours
• Steer clear of oil-based skincare, exfoliants, and makeup directly on the brow area
• Stick to a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser around the brows to keep that color rich and lasting
• Avoid steam, saunas, and prolonged sun exposure for the next few days
